About the Firm

Connecticut

At O’Connell, Attmore & Morris, we dedicate ourselves to the principles of the legal profession.

We are officers of the courts.  It is not enough that we get the job done.  It is important to us that we do things the right way, according to the letter of the law and consistent with its spirit and principles.  We are proud of the fact that the firm has the highest available rating (AV), as voted by peers in the Martindale-Hubbell national directory of attorneys.

Our duty to our clients as advocates and counselors guides our work.  We work hard on their behalf.  They can and do rely on us to represent their best interests.  We earn their trust.  That is how we have built strong relationships with our longstanding clients, and that is how we treat every new client, large or small, commercial or individual.

We are dedicated to a thorough knowledge of our areas of practice.  Our partners have, on average, more than twenty years of experience practicing. We draw daily from our extensive experience, and pass its lessons on to those associate attorneys who work with us.   We stay on top of the developments in our practice areas, in our client’s industries and in their issues.  We have the knowledge it takes to provide our clients with advice, and the skill and experience necessary to be their advocate.

The firm focuses on developing long-term relationships with clients by providing outstanding, comprehensive service conducive to promoting individual and business goals. When legal matters overlap into more than one area, our clients benefit from a cross-disciplinary team of attorneys who collaborate to advocate for the best possible outcome.  Client relationships that began with a real estate closing or the formation of an LLC for a closely-held business often develop into lasting partnerships in which clients engage the firm for all of their legal services.

Our goal is to support our clients’ success.  We do that by producing more than just strong work product – we produce results and solutions.  We make the legal system work for our clients.  All the while, we keep in mind the need to be cost-appropriate.  When we advise our clients and present them with options, we also advise them of the costs so they know the potential value of the services they are requesting and the cost of the solutions that we provide.  Our focus on client satisfaction has led to sustained relationships and significant referrals that have strengthened our practice areas and furthered our geographic reach.

As ardent advocates for our clients, our attorneys are prepared to pursue even the most complicated cases to trial, to negotiate the best possible outcomes, and to handle transactions smoothly and expediently.  The breadth and depth of our experience may, at first, seem remarkable given our size… but not so remarkable when you consider how long and how hard we have worked, and how hard we continue to work, to practice our profession.
