Gary G. Attmore is a transactional lawyer, with more than 30 years of experience advising business and individual clients in the areas of business and commercial law, trusts and estates, real estate, and taxation. Attorney Attmore’s practice includes counseling and otherwise assisting in the organization, maintenance purchase and sale of businesses; estate and succession planning; commercial real estate transactions; and tax planning and optimization associated with these types of transactions. Attorney Attmore also represents clients in the organization and governance of non-profit organizations, including securing tax-exempt status. Attorney Attmore received his legal education at Suffolk University Law School, earning his Juris Doctor in 1974, and at George Washington University, earning a Master of Laws in Taxation in 1976. He graduated from Northeastern University in 1970 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy. A respected member of the Connecticut Bar Association’s Executive Committee for the Section on Taxation, and American Bar Associations, Attorney Attmore lectures on estate planning and tax matters, including seminars sponsored by the National Business Institute. Attorney Attmore is also a member of the Hartford Tax Club. Attorney Attmore supports various charities, including the New England Region of the Arthritis Foundation, for which he currently serves as a member of its Board of Directors. He assisted in the formation of the Connecticut Consortium of Education Foundations and participates in a workshop offered by its Annual Conference on the “how to” of starting an education foundation. Prior to engaging in the practice of law, Mr. Attmore was employed as a pharmacist in Boston, Massachusetts, and in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area.
