Partners Michael O’Connell and Susan Miller attend the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel Annual meeting in Montreux, Switzerland.
This summer, partners Michael O’Connell and Susan Miller had the honor of participating in the 2017 annual meeting of the F.D.C.C. FDCC Membership is limited, selective, and by nomination only.
Attorney’s O’Connell and Miller participated with fellow FDCC members in educational opportunities ranging from alternative dispute resolution, extra contractual liability, employment procedures, construction law and appellate law, to name just some of the topics.
A highlight of the conference was the key note speech by Nontombi Tutu, the third child of Archbishop Desmond Tutu. She gave an inspirational talk on practicing our craft with dignity.
Of particular interest to those from Hartford was Ms. Tutu’s connection to the city and the University of Hartford where she lived and went to school. She remembered Hartford fondly. It was of very special interest to Attorney Miller who has spent many years as a Regent of the University of Hartford.
The FDCC is a highly selective organization with a history spanning over 75 years. It is an organization of leaders in the legal community, drawn equally from in-house counsel and private practice, who are dedicated to raising the level of practice applied to the defense of civil lawsuits.
