Anthony M. Maio

ATTORNEY Anthony M. Maio has over twenty years of experience in the practice of law, concentrating on residential real estate and civil litigation.  Attorney Maio has extensive experience in the court rooms of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and has successfully litigated matters at the trial court and appellate court levels.  Given his vast experience, he is well versed in Massachusetts residential real estate, foreclosure and landlord tenant law.  His practice includes trials and appeals in these areas. Attorney Maio’s work includes servicing the legal needs of both corporations and individuals, from drafting a simple will to complex litigation involving multiple parties and issues.  He has conducted and prevailed in civil suits dealing with personal injury and tort, business, real estate, family law and housing matters. On the appellate level, Attorney Maio was instrumental in changing the landscape of the law in Massachusetts for the tort of intentional interference with a contract and with business relations as it applies to an attorney-client relationship.  See Cavicchi v. Koski et al, 67 Mass. App. Ct. 654 (2006). Attorney Maio has litigated cases resulting in multiple reported decisions and favorable opinions in the Massachusetts Housing, Superior and Appeals Courts.  He also successfully represented multiple families in an environmental action involving idle bus motor emissions and respiratory injuries to local families. Claudia M. Sklar

PARTNER Claudia M. Sklar has been actively engaged in the litigation of general civil and commercial matters, with an emphasis on creditors' rights including commercial and residential foreclosures, commercial law, and title insurance litigation for over 30 years.  Her practice also includes residential and commercial real estate, commercial leasing, landlord/tenant litigation, commercial financing, loan workouts, bankruptcy, debt restructuring, eviction, general business matters, as well as domestic relations and family law.  Supported by a highly qualified team of attorneys and professional staff, Attorney Sklar prides herself on providing both individual and institutional clients with the personal attention and responsiveness that they deserve.  Ever mindful of keeping up to date with legal developments and approaches, Attorney Sklar successfully completed the mediation skills training program at the Quinnipiac University School of Law Center on Dispute Resolution. Stephen H. Solomson

PARTNER Stephen H. Solomson practices in the areas of litigation, defense of professional licenses, securities law, insurance defense including coverage, as well as family and divorce law. Attorney Solomson started his law career as a legal intern in the Prosecutor’s Office in Hartford. Upon graduation from law school he entered state service as a Public Defender trying numerous jury trials in Hartford Superior Court.  He later became a prosecutor, serving as the head of the Economic Crime Unit of the Chief State’s Attorney’s Office, an award-winning unit comprised of prosecutors and investigators with statewide jurisdiction charged with the investigation and prosecution of white collar crime. During his tenure at the Economic Crime Unit, Attorney Solomson and his staff prosecuted hundreds of matters ranging from widespread home improvement frauds, embezzlements, insurance, financial and securities fraud.  While at the Economic Crime Unit, Attorney Solomson and his staff worked closely with many State and Federal Agencies including the Connecticut Insurance and Banking Departments, the Department of Consumer Protection, the United States Postal Inspectors, and the Federal Bureau of Investigations.  After state service, Attorney Solomson was employed by Commercial Union Insurance Company, where he was responsible for insurance fraud investigations nationwide.
